October 2010 : New additions to the Opdax 101 & 202 HMI Controller capabilities:

New improvements incorporated into the Opdax 101 & Opdax 202 include constant flow output setting and Ramp Program Generator.

Opdax 101 Flow Control  Opdax 101 Ramp Program

Now the Mydax system user has the ability to choose a constant flow output and the system will automatically adjust the pump VFD to maintain the output flow even as temperature and fluid viscosity changes. The user also has the choice to pick a constant VFD output percentage if they desire.

The Ramp Program allows the operator to create a profile that includes the choice of up to 8 different Start / Stop output temperature setpoints as well as the Ramp time between setpoints and how long to Pause at each setpoint. The program can run once or repeat the cycle. This allows powerful control over the Mydax chiller system's cooling and heating for the end user's process.

Please contact Mydax to see how these exciting options can improve the process control of your application.

January 2009 : New Releases – Industry Best Cooling Power at Low temperatures and New System Controller:

After 4 years of development, 2008 saw the introduction of Mydax’s new touch screen controllers, the Opdax 202 & Opdax 101.

With two different screen size options, the Opdax 202 & Opdax 101 offer a microprocessor-based control system which incorporates ease of use for the operator with powerful controls.

Mydax has achieved the industries best cooling power available at low temperatures with two new designs: Multiple Compressor Systems & Modular Cooling Systems.

Representing the pinnacle of Chiller performance and temperature control, in 2008 Mydax introduced chiller systems utilizing a single refrigeration system with multiple compressors in parallel to offer users more power at low temperatures while still maintaining excellent temperature stability and reliability utilizing Mydax’s patented Refrigeration Control Technology.

Mydax also introduced the use of Modular Cooling Systems to create “Plug & Play” systems that can be run individually or combined to create more available cooling power for a single process.

Please contact us today to see how we can help solve your temperature control needs.

DECEMBER 2006: Mydax announces 24% growth in 2006!

Mydax continues to grow, meeting the needs of a demanding industry. Strong products this year have been the 2-channel VLH-Series chiller/heaters. These units, designed originally for the pharmaceutical industry, are competitive solutions for Aerospace and Automotive stress testing, as well as Fiber Optic production applications. They are used where high power cooling is required at low temperatures, combined with the ability to heat the same fluid to temperatures as high as +150°C.

Again, Mydax is grateful to you, our customers. We thank you for your continuing business and wish you all success in the new year!

FEBRUARY 2006: HAPPY 20TH ANNIVERSARY!

Founded in February 1986, Mydax has delivered custom chiller/heater and temperature control systems for 20 years.

With an impressive list of customers in diversified markets, Mydax continues to be a leader in difficult, wide-temperature applications.

If you have a unique need, let Mydax provide a solution. Our quality products stand the test of time!

DECEMBER 2004: Mydax receives two patents for High Flux Heat Removal System.

Mydax has been granted two patents to address concerns of high heat removal requirements as future high-density technology comes of age.

A cooling system for apparatus powered by electricity that generates a substantial amount of heat during operation and the heat must be dissipated to avoid failure of electrical and/or electronic components such as semiconductor devices and integrated circuits comprising the electrical apparatus.

US Patent 6,793,007: High flux heat removal system using liquid ice.

One cooling system employs liquid ice impinged on a heat sink thermally coupled with electrical apparatus. The attendant phase changes of the liquid ice first to water and then to steam remove a substantial amount of waste heat to prevent failure of the electrical apparatus.

US Patent 6,827,135 B1: High flux heat removal system using jet impingement of water at subatmospheric pressure.

Another cooling system employs water impinged on a heat sink thermally coupled with electrical apparatus, at subatmospheric pressure. The attendant phase change of the water to steam at a reduced temperature due to the subatmospheric pressure improves removal of waste heat to prevent failure of the electrical apparatus.
